Who we are

1. Who we are. A UK sole trader who trades as Lumora is the controller. Contact privacy@lumora.app.

Account details (email, nickname, gender preference); the result of your age check (not your ID documents, which our age partner handles); your chats, the facts characters remember and any media made for you; purchase records from our payment partners (we never see your full card number); and, only if you agree, analytics about how you use the app.

To run your account and chats (contract); to take payments and keep tax records (legal obligation); to keep the service safe, including automated moderation of messages and media (legitimate interests and legal obligation); to send news and offers only if you opt in (consent); to improve AI models with your chats only if you switch on AI & Moderation Training (consent).

Who we share it with

4. Who we share it with. Service providers that run Lumora for us under contract: hosting and database, AI model providers, voice provider, age-check partner, payment partners, email and analytics. We do not sell your data.

Transfers

5. Transfers. Some providers are outside the UK; we use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

6. How long we keep it. Account data until you delete your account; chats and media are deleted with it; payment records 6 years for tax.

Your rights

7. Your rights. Download your data or delete your account in Settings at any time. You can also ask us to correct, restrict or explain how we use your data, and withdraw consent. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Under-18s

8. Under-18s. Lumora is not for anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor we lock it and delete its data.

9. Changes. We will post updates here and tell you about important ones by email.
